The Welding Cup Goggles #5 Shade seem like they are best price, and the most steampunk looking too! The Classic Round Mens Moto Goggles are a bit pricey, but they look like they need the least amount of work to upgrade. Also, They feature Aluminum fittings and interchangeable eye pieces, which is pretty cool. So you have to decide: Do you want to spend more time working on your goggles? or do you want to spend more money?
Guides to Creating Steampunk Art, and Other Various Steampunk Things
Steampunk by Ann VanderMeer, and The Steampunk Bible by Jeff Vandermeer, who I assume is her husband, are more of guides to the history of steampunk, as well as all of the various steampunk creations that have been made since its beginnings in popular culture. They do, however feature some how-to guides for making steampunk items. They are both very good books for inspiration, as well as learning what the steampunk movement is about. Steampunk Style Jewelry is a great book for those just beginning to create steampunk items. It shows the basic methods for creating steampunk jewelry, that can be easily translated into making more advanced pieces.
Various Steampunk Lenses and Parts
Here are some inexpensive steampunk lenses and supplies that you can use to make some awesome steampunk devices. There are some cool bifocal type lenses, and some pretty inexpensive gas masks that can redone in leather to give them a more steampunk look. The last gas mask is kind of expensive, but it is really cool looking, and could easily be redone into either a steampunk, or post apocalyptic type gas mask.
